Early Years
Helen Keller was born on July 27 , 1880. She was born in Tuscubani, Alabama.. In Helen Keller's early years she was no ordinary girl. She had got an illness at the age of two which caused her to become blind and deaf. But in 1887 Helen Keller got a teacher and found new ways to communicate.
MAJOR accomplishments
With hard work Helen had many MAJOR accomplishments and some of them are when she got a teacher she was very scared and did't know who this stranger was but along the way she learned she had a wonderful teacher and she had also learned her first word

Her largest obstacle
Helen Kellers largest obstacle was geting to know her teacher and learn how to communicate with her hands because in her world everything was silent and dark. She was very scared. but along the way she learned and this bravery and courage shows that you dont always need your ears or your eyes!
Why she's important
Helen Keller is very important because she learned how to communicate with out being able to see or hear she learned how to communicate by tracing letters in hands to spell the word she wanted to say. She went to collage and meet famous people such as president Ronald Reagan and Mark Twain. In 1920 she helped founded the ACLU. she was very successful and showed so much courage!
